Relaxed Summer Wedding at Monachyle Mhor
Laura & Fergus wanted a big celebration close to nature with all of their friends and family and after much deliberation and planning (ahem pandemic chaos) decided to make it a destination wedding incorporating Ferg’s heritage and booked the stunning Monachyle Mhor in the Scottish Highlands. Very close to possibly the most beautiful nature I have ever seen!
This was absolute music to my ears as I had never visited Scotland before let alone photographed a wedding and I am now forever grateful to these wonderful people for taking me there for my first trip.
When I asked Laura & Ferg what was important to them in terms of photography they said they really wanted colourful, joyful pictures with pops of colour that capture loads of smiling, laughter and silliness in my documentary style. I think I understood the assignment with the following pics and just wish I could go back!

Monachyle Mhor Wedding Venue
Monachyle Mhor is a restored 18th-century farmhouse turned very cool, (pink!) boutique hotel nestled at the foot of a Glen very close to Loch Lomond in Scotland. Where there is unlimited picturesque vistas to climb to and two beautiful Lochs to dip your toe into (if you’re brave enough) just moments away. You can hire the entire venue for the weekend or just stay as guests at the hotel so, if you want to plan a rural destination wedding for all of your favourite people or an intimate elopement just the two of you within the untamed beauty of the Scottish Highlands I highly recommend this beautiful venue!
