DIY Book Themed library wedding Charlton House
I bloody loved Leon & Carly's wedding the minute they started talking about it. The couple had a wonderful, DIY book themed wedding inside Charlton House's very own vintage Library! They created all of their decorations from scratch by themselves using recycled books and paper, covering every inch of the room in gorgeous paper flowers and also crafted awesome, vintage garden games which the guests absolutely loved!
The pair looked absolutely stunning all day and so ridiculously in love! Carly wore a gorgeous, bespoke wedding dress made by family friend Dandelion and Pearls and Leon looked fantastic in a sharp blue suit by The Gentleman’s Fitting Room, a blue floral shirt and braces but I particularly LOVED the shoes at this wedding! The bride and her bridesmaids killed it with Monolo Blanik, Valentino and Sophia Webster and the couples matching dancing shoes were so cute!
To feed their guests they opted for an alternative and super tasty afternoon tea by Feast which is all these wicked and random flavours put together. Utterly delicious! And to top that off they also had a gorgeous raspberry ripple flavoured cake made by Malarkey Cakes which they served with the scones and sandwiches.
The evening entertainment came in the shape of Swing Dancing by the guys at Swing Patrol! Everybody got involved and it got very sweaty, very quickly but it was flipping amazing and I had a great time throwing myself in the middle and capturing everyones moves and facial expressions!
